Since kids we have all been told "itll get better"... It hasn't and i for one am let down by it. It seems like there isn't a brighter side, its a case of you paint it whatever colour you want. We all know people who are just led down a path and they are content with that because everyone else is... Whether its money, drugs, clothes, material or beliefs. They are sheep following the Shepard. How many friends have you fallen out with over money? I have, its horrible. To think mere paper and tiny bits of copper could do that, pull years of friendship apart. How the amount or the lack of it can determine YOUR quality of life. its sad isn't it? seeing this from the outside makes me so happy to be the lion i am, because they will never see the brighter side if all they do is follow... Explore, try, succeed, fail and love. At least you can say tried and to us you will always remain a lion at heart.

lyrics
After all these years I'm struggling to see the brighter side
When every day another failure is the footprint I leave
I will remain the lion at heart
Coming to terms with a force outside my control
This life right now is my only constant
And I will defend it with everything I am
And everything I have inside
So as you turn and run from me
I just want you to see
I'm already far from here
I left you to choke while you refuse to hear
Only with compassion can you finally breathe
Living for that GBP must make you feel so poor
I'm trying to find some common ground
But your ignorance keeps you bound
I'm so let down
I'm so let down
But I remain the lion
After all these years I'm struggling to see the brighter side
When every day another failure is the footprint I leave
I will remain the lion at heart
Coming to terms with a force outside my control
This life right now is my only constant
And I will defend it with everything I am
I remain the lion
Strong and undefeated
A life ruled by the weight of your wallet is no life at all
But I remain the lion at heart
(Will I remain the lion at heart?)
